Morris is a traditional form of dancing in Britain, with written records dating back to the 15th Century. There are currently over six hundred active teams (or ‘sides’) in the U.K. and around three hundred more in other parts of the world, particularly in Australasia, Canada and the U.S.A.
There is a huge amount of information about morris dancing already available on the internet. This website attempts to provide in due course a central reference point for all the dances and the dance teams.
